How to do the Clap Push-UP
- The clap push-up is an explosive upper body movement that builds power and fast-twitch muscle strength.
- It adds a plyometric challenge to the traditional push-up by requiring the hands to leave the ground mid-rep.
- Start in a strong push-up position with your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width and core engaged Lower your body explosively and push off the ground with enough force to lift your hands.
- Quickly clap your hands together at chest level before returning them to the floor.
- Land with soft elbows to absorb the impact and immediately move into the next rep
