We want FitBot Coach content to be clear, accurate, and genuinely useful. This page explains how it's made and held to standard.
Sourcing & attribution
- Exercises. Movement instructions are adapted from wger.de under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, combined with our own demonstration videos and form guidance. Each exercise page carries this attribution.
- Recipes. Recipe data is sourced from TheMealDB, with per-serving nutrition surfaced. Each recipe page is attributed.
- We do not scrape or republish content from sources whose licences don't permit it.
Review process
- Our editorial articles are reviewed by the FitBot Coach team before publication. Individual catalog pages (each exercise and recipe) are compiled from the open databases noted above and are not yet individually reviewed by a certified professional — building that credentialed review is a priority.
- We are building a panel of certified personal trainers (CPT) and registered dietitians (RD/RDN) to provide named, credentialed review of exercise and nutrition content. As reviewers are added, their names and credentials will appear on the pages they review.
- Health and nutrition claims are checked against recognised authorities (e.g. NIH, CDC, USDA FoodData Central, ACSM/NSCA) where applicable.
Accuracy & nutrition figures
- Calorie and macro values are estimates based on typical ingredients and portions; actual values vary with your ingredients, brands and serving sizes. We tell you to verify.
- We correct errors promptly. Spotted a mistake? Tell us.
Updates & freshness
Pages show a "last reviewed" date. We periodically re-review content and update guidance as the evidence and best practice evolve.
